Here's what people are saying about Dogz Are Us.

To anyone looking for dog training, you've found the BEST in Debbie.  I have been using Debbie since I got my new puppy a couple months ago.  Although we have been training for a short time, with the skills and knowledge Debbie has, my puppy is turning into a wonderfully trained dog.  I feel very comfortable with Debbie and while I may not always get it right the first time, she never does anything but motivates me and the dog to try it again!!  Debbie is kind, understanding, giving, patient, and she truly loves her job which shows consistenty every time she is here.  We always end up having a few questions after she has left, but that doesn't matter to Debbie, she is always available whether by email or text to lend a helping hand.  I can't thank her enough for all she has done and will continue to thank her!!  So, if you want the perfecty trained dog, you've found the PERFECT person in Debbie!!

I highly recommend the dog training classes that Debbie Gardiner offers through Dogz Are Us.  Her many qualifications include being a former educator, a Certified Professional Dog Trainer (CPDT-KA), a Certified Control Unleashed Instructor (CCUI), and a Certified Trick Dog Instructor (CTDI).

Her class size is small and this allows quite a bit of individualized attention to you and your pup.  She follows up each class with an email of handouts that summarize what we went over in class, homework, enrichment ideas, and additional dog training tips.  She also includes links to her YouTube training videos-and these are priceless as (at least for me) it's so easy to forget exactly what to do.

She is warm, welcoming, upbeat, and VERY patient with each dog and its owner.  Let's face it-dog training can be daunting to a novice dog owner, but Debbie excels at successfully leading each dog and owner down the training path.

This was the best, most consistently positive training experience I have ever had.  It deepened the bond between my dog and me.  I learned more about my dog by doing this training.  It was such a rewarding class.  Debbie is the best.  She teaches the handlers the best ways to work with our dogs.

Debbie is an amazing, committed dog trainer.  She is passionate about what she does and is committed to helping each owner and their dog achieve their short and long term goals.  My dream working in special education was to have a therapy dog to share with my students.  When I first decided to take my large, 2 year old lab, with extremely high energy and interest (in just about everything), to therapy dog training, I was quite nervous.  The first class he wanted to do nothing but play with everyone else's dogs (who had already been through training, of course).  Jack had very little manners, pulled me every where, didn't listen, the list goes on.  I felt like I'd never achieve my dream of him being a therapy dog in my classroom.  Although, I did know that Jack was smart.  I knew he'd be able to pick up things with some work.  I knew he had what it would take to become a therapy dog.  As classes went on, I began to trust that Debbie would help Jack and I be successful.  We have now gone through 3 sessions (6 weeks each) of classes.  After the second sessioin, Debbie encouraged me to take the Canine Good Citizen test.  As nervous as I was, he passed with flying colors!  My first thought when I realized he passed was how thankful I was for Debbie.  She never gave up on my "party boy" and always kept me feeling positive about him.  As we approach the official therapy dog test, I am excited.  I know that she has taught us all we need to know in order to pass the test.  While I am so proud of Jack for all he's learned and his love of learning from her.  I am even more thankful and appreciative each day Jack walks into my classroom and makes a difference in my students' lives.  Thank you, Debbie, for teaching Jack and I, bonding us closer together, and allowing me to be successful so I can share him with some very special people.

My 2 year old Shiba Inu, Jaxon, and I recently took a six week beginner class with Ms. Debbie and were blown away by our experience!  Ms. Debbie was incredibly patient and understanding to every pup (and owner) in class.  She took the time to know every participant and tailored the class to meet our individual goals.  We were pleasantly surprised that Ms. Debbie's caring and helpful instruction is not limited to classroom time as she checked in with us via phone calls and has even followed up after class has ended just showing how much she truly is invested in her students!  We are so happy we took class with Ms. Debbie as we learned a variety of new skills that truly do promote a wonderful, positive, life long relationship between pup and pup parent!

Thom and I totally enjoyed and appreciated both of the classes that we shared with our character of a pooch, Jack.  Your classes are held with such a gentle and intelligent manner.  The dogs get training without the harshness and severity that some trainers seem to think is the only way to learn.  I  may be wrong, but I see your background in elementary education shining through in our classes.  You do such a kind and great job of training the pooches of all sizes and kinds but also getting the owners to know how your approach works so well for them.  BRAVO.  Great job and thank you!!!

We had the pleasure of having Debbie Gardiner as a dog trainer for our toy poodle named Ruby Rose.  We participated in puppy beginners and intermediate class and went on to have private training in our home with Debbie.  We were very lucky to find a trainer with Debbie's abilities, experience and dedication.  She has the ability to read and understand dogs and I think that is the key to her training.  You can tell Debbie sincerely loves what she is doing with animals and she has a very positive attitude.  We still have work to do with Ruby but she's young and we look forward to continue training sessions with Debbie.  Ruby just loves Debbie and looks forward to seeing her and learning.  Yes, she actually loves to learn new things.  I would highly recommend Debbie.

I want to write to tell you how grateful I am for your Good Citizen and Therapy dog training class.  I had looked at some other programs, which seemed too stressful for me.  Debbie's courses were what I knew I wanted and what I didn't know I  needed:  informative, practical, supportive, kind, low-stress, fun, and very successful.  I have attended two of Debbie's classes and each time I learn something new.  She has coached me to be a more successful dog caregiver, which in turn will allow my boy to be part of the community and bring joy to a lot of other people.  Thanks for your kindness, especially to me, I certainly needed the training.  Homer is a 200 lb bundle of energy and he loved you from day one.

We have worked with Debbie for the past few months with our lab/hound mix, whom we adopted over the summer.  Debbie changed our lives-we started with a fearful dog who couldn't be coaxed outside more than once each morning to a confident, happy dog who is loving life.  Debbie is very knowledgeable, patient, and really loves dogs.  I am so glad our vet recommended her to us.

What a wonderful class!  Our Good Citizenship class with Debbie Gardiner has been a very rewarding experience for us as well as our dog Skye.  Our Bullmastiff has learned so much, as have we.  She has been transformed into a polite, well behaved pup.  Debbie helped Skye overcome her initial anxiety and nervousness.  She is now comfortable and confident.  Debbie provides such a positive, nurturing and mutually supportive environment for the dogs and their human companions.  We always left class feeling like we had really accomplished something, and Skye always looked forward to class.  I highly recommend this class to anyone who would like to further their dog's skill set, hope to make their pup an asset to the community and those who would like to move on to therapy work.  Thank you Debbie for helping Skye and us to reach our goals.
